23/09/2021 Formative assessment

1.      1. Description of the class

This session dealt with the differences between assessment and evaluation so we discussed in pairs and with the the whole students. The class concluded that the first one refers to more global aspects of the student and the second is based on exams (testing). In addition, the teacher mentioned formative assessment, an instrument that evaluates the process in a holistic form with the aim of learning. Therefore, teachers have to evaluate their performance in order to improve teaching so It is a beneficial manner to work correctly with childen.

2.      2. Describe what you learn in the class

I learned the importance of creating a good atmosphere in class because sometimes children are exposed to high pressure due to the exams or to be wrong in their answers, so the teacher must compare the old teaching paradigm with the new one to be aware of what he or she wants and not to encourage in the students.

3.      3. Opinion about the class

In my opinión I think thar the most relevant thing is to make childen enjoy what they learn without feeling afraid of faliling, so it is a complicated task since many of them feel stress about exams and do not focus on learning.

22/09/2021 Information

1.    1.  Description of the class

The teacher explained that all the students who finish the degree of primary education can opt to the title of B2 english level, which is acrcredited by Toledo university (UCLM). Also, she showed us Time to move page in which you can find new opportunities to go abroad for study or work out.

2. Describe what you learn in the class

I learned pages that I can compare offers or other ways to go to other countries to improve my level of english.

3.   3. Opinion about the class

      This session was an a “information class” so I think that it was important to guide students to learn about opportunities that may appear abroad.

  1. Description of the class

In this class the presentations of the rest continued, although we worked on speaking in pairs. The topic was about situations where we have to remain silent like a funeral, in a show of respect, when someone speaks and in certain places such as a church or a museum.

        2. Describe what you learn in the class

     Here, I was able to learn some effective tolos to improve English speaking, such as a chronometer, as it makes it easier for you to manage time properly.

3.      3.  Opinion about the class

In my opinion, I think the class promoted intearctive and participative situations because we constantly had to talk with classmates and the teacher.
