23/09/2021 Formative assessment
1. 1. Description of the class
This session dealt with the differences
between assessment and evaluation so we discussed in pairs and with the the whole
students. The class concluded that the first one refers to more global aspects
of the student and the second is based on exams (testing). In addition, the
teacher mentioned formative assessment, an instrument that evaluates the
process in a holistic form with the aim of learning. Therefore, teachers have
to evaluate their performance in order to improve teaching so It is a
beneficial manner to work correctly with childen.
2. 2. Describe what you learn in the class
I learned the importance of creating a good
atmosphere in class because sometimes children are exposed to high pressure due
to the exams or to be wrong in their answers, so the teacher must compare the
old teaching paradigm with the new one to be aware of what he or she wants and
not to encourage in the students.
3. 3. Opinion about the class
In my opinión I think thar the most relevant
thing is to make childen enjoy what they learn without feeling afraid of
faliling, so it is a complicated task since many of them feel stress about
exams and do not focus on learning.
